The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level designed for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who go to a service sassa status check point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and SRD boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
